LILAC Magazine

I was approached by a friend back in 2020 who was interested in starting a literary magazine. After meeting with him and his partner I was intrigued by the cornerstones of what this magazine would be about. Always in print, fair pay for contributors, and the chance to get involved with the local Rochester community.

LILAC has been a great side project that’s allowed me to return to my roots as a print designer. The magazine is now two issues in to its existence, with successful in-person launch events to celebrate their release.

LILAC is for the writers, poets, memoirists, essayists, graphic artists, photographers, tinkerers, and scribblers –

The opinionated, the dreamers, the obstinate, the edgy, those who regularly think hey-maybe-I’m-crazy-but-here-goes-anyway –

LILAC is not journalism.

LILAC is a haven from the news cycle, the who’s who, the endless clickbait.

LILAC is an invitation to dig deep within and decide what you have to say or show to the world.

What you are burning to create.
